As a TLC driver, maintaining a safe and well-maintained vehicle is crucial for both passenger safety and regulatory compliance. Regular vehicle inspections are essential to prevent breakdowns, accidents, and potential fines. Here's a comprehensive checklist to guide your inspection process:


 Interior Inspection:


Seatbelts: Ensure all seatbelts are in good working condition, free of damage, and securely fastened to the vehicle's frame. 

Interior Lights: Verify that all interior lights, including dome lights, map lights, and courtesy lights, are functioning properly.

Emergency Equipment: Check the availability and condition of emergency equipment like a fire extinguisher and first aid kit. 


 Exterior Inspection:


Headlights and Taillights: Inspect the headlights, taillights, brake lights, and turn signals to ensure they are clean, free of damage, and functioning correctly.

Tires: Check the tire pressure, tread depth, and overall condition of all tires. Ensure they are properly inflated and have adequate tread to maintain traction and safety.

Body Damage: Inspect the vehicle's exterior for any signs of damage, such as dents, scratches, or broken parts. 

Windshield and Windows: Verify that the windshield and all windows are clean, free of cracks, and provide clear visibility.

Mirrors: Ensure all mirrors, including side mirrors and rearview mirrors, are clean and properly adjusted.


 Under-the-Hood Inspection:


Engine: Check the engine oil level and condition, as well as the coolant level. Listen for any unusual noises or leaks.

Belts and Hoses: Inspect the serpentine belt and other hoses for signs of wear, cracks, or leaks.

Battery: Verify the battery terminals are clean and tight. 

Fluid Levels: Check the levels of brake fluid, power steering fluid, and windshield washer fluid.


 Regular Maintenance:


Oil Changes: Adhere to the recommended oil change intervals to keep the engine running smoothly.

Tire Rotations: Rotate tires regularly to ensure even wear and extend their lifespan.

Brake Inspections: Have your brakes inspected regularly to ensure they are functioning properly.
